Taming the Mind

Posted by A Tobias 2 years ago
It's now the Easter break, so I have the next three weeks free to get around to all the things I've been neglecting! I'll try to get around to things like replying to comments and games development soon. For now, I just want to mention that I've finally got around to starting my new blog, ∞ Taming the Mind ∞, where I'll put all the stuff that isn't about games development.

I've had many ideas for posts I'd like to write there, though I felt I needed to write an intro one first, and it took me a while to get around to that since it's stuff I've said elsewhere before. You probably know it all already if you're reading this!

It's not meant to be a community, though you can comment on posts using various social media accounts, I think (it uses a comment system I didn't design called Disqus). Primarily though I'm writing it for the sake of my own sanity, with no hope of getting anything social or financial out of it.

I mention in the first post that I turned to psychology because I don't want to do games development anymore. This is true, but please don't take it to mean that I'm giving up games development completely. What I've said before is still true; I'm going to continue making games, even if it's just a hobby (though of course if it ends up being very profitable, I'll probably redirect my attention towards it instead).

Anyway, I'll update that place with my thoughts about psychology, spirituality and my feelings in future, and I'll probably only update this place when I have games-development related things to say. Which I hopefully should soon!

(Whoops, I wrote this days ago but forgot to post it!)

Nice! How do you post a comment there?

When you click on the comment part there should be a thing in the upper right of the comment section that says "log in", you should get a dropdown menu when you click on it and you can sign in from your Facebook, Google+, Twitter, or you can create a new account on Disqus or use your existing account if you have one already.

Well, even if you aren't doing games actively, I'm happy for you! It takes a lot to decide which way you want to go, or what you want to do, and now that you've decided, I feel I should try my best to support you sometime!

I know how therapy and psychology can be very interesting, and both fields have interested me before, but I personally think I'm going to be a writer. It's sort of how I want people to experience my work, through verse and stories I put together in my spare time!

It's also nice to know you haven't given up on making games and made it a hobby instead.. that way, you're dealing with both issues you have interest in without bothering other people too much.

The site looks beautiful. I left a more detailed comment there, but I'm very glad you're doing this!
