Idea: Inner Demons

I like Pokemon, and I like personal development. I've recently been brainstorming ideas for an app - not really a game - which is sort of a combination of these two. Perhaps it'd be called something like "Inner Demons" or "Mind Tamer" or "Emotimon" or some better title I've yet to come up with, and it'd be a way of visualising and cultivating our inner worlds in terms of traits, fears, aspirations, strengths, and personal connections, represented as animal-like creatures that you feed whenever you engage a part of yourself, and in feeding them, they grow and evolve to represent your own personal growth and evolution.

Miasmon 2014 - Week 1

After releasing that prototype version of Miasmon, I decided to focus my attentions on a new version for a while. I've started and scrapped Miasmon as a project far too many times now, but I feel like I've reached a point in my life where I just can't do that anymore. So I've decided to gather together all the pieces that I felt worked from those past attempts and combine them into one final attempt that I'll hopefully stick with. Maybe I already said all this?!

More Miasmon Stuff!

I experimented with getting a game to run on my mobile phone yesterday, and was successful! It was just a simple test screen that played some music and showed an image (rather than a port of one of my existing games, which would be more complicated to do), but it was EXCITING, and took me back to the days when I'd make simple text-based games on my TI-83 graphing calculator thing back in school, back when I was first learning how to program. Oh, those were the days and so on. It's sort of given me a new burst of enthusiasm about games development, especially since it's possible to run things made in Flash on a mobile device rather than having to learn a whole new language!
