Armulets would be a nice middle point! I was imagining an amulet wrapped around the hand like that, but I think technically the amulet is the thing at the end of the chain, so it being put in some kind of armband or something wouldn't make it less of an amulet? Though I'm learning more and more that people just want things to be exactly how they expect from existing definitions of things...
What was the 'summon friend' feature? I either don't remember that or never used it! Probably because I don't have friends.

Friends are can be met through streetpass or the internet (through the adventurer).
Considering you don't go out often, chances are you don't streetpass, but it's still weird you missed this feature: how did you rebuild Tiz's village in BD if you didn't have friends ? And how did you rebuild Fort Lune if you didn't even download them from the internet ?
Story wise, the crystal pendant that comes from Pope Agnes is used to summon characters from across dimensions. And reciproqually, you can send an attack that way, so that some random person you streetpass with can use that attack in his game.
It was an easy way to exceed the 9999 cap.
