To me, the Government release of information regarding UFOs reminds me of the declissification of information regarding to Project Stargate, the government study regarding whether the government could weaponize and greate psychics.
Now with the buzz about new UFO info from the government, that gives a bit of hype that there may be something substantial, though I still hold a slight reservation because my cynical part holds doubt.

It's interesting how you bring up magicians and how people know that there is a trick. For me, I apreciate magicians because they have taken so much time to hone their skills in terms of utilizing the human mind in order for magic to apear real. To me, the tricks for magic are a cool show, but the real show is apreciating how much time and effort it took to engineer the props, to learn about the human psychology, and to physically work with their body in order to master the fine motor skills for those slight of hands. So for me, I break down the tricks because I want to apreciate the work behind the tricks, not to feel superior for figuring it out.

To me, I see the story of UFOs as that, a story with the lore and backdrop we call reality. In a way, I am pointing out the plotholes to the story. Reality as we know it has so much "lore" to keep consistent that much relating to UFOs run contrary to the current "lore," so I ask questions about some of the legitimacy of some of the claims. I am not asking out of malice, but as a way of working the "plot holes" to the story. In spite of how I sounded in the Bob Lazar post, I want to be proved wrong about aliens.

As someone science minded I want to be proved wrong. I don't know about you, but many of the sciende minded people I know get more excited when things don't go as expected with experiements. When things don't go the way we expect, it's really exciting because that's an entirely new avenue to explore and learn. So we, science mided people, have to look at things with a critical eye, because if the basis for the whole branch of learning is weak, then everything that comes after comes crashing down and all that effort was for naught.
