Seriously, it's already been said, but it seems like ever since your surgery and Memody, you've changed as if...you leveled up from your 20ish self ? Or maybe evolved, like some pokemon ?
Still have issues, but are handling them much better, and you're way more positive than before, even if you try to make it sound like resignation rather than hope :)
