The general consensus on Scarlet/Violet is actually quite positive I'd say. Most people seem to agree it's a big step up after Sword/Shield,. Mostly I see people wish the game had more time to develop, something I've thought for a while now. These games would benefit a lot from a longer development cycle, now we're getting new core series releases every year. Two even in 2022, counting Legends of Arceus.

I've not seen anyone complain about Glimmora! I think it's a neat design, poisonous rocks isn't something they've done outside of that one Ultra Beast. Magnemite is also a pretty simple but visually appealing design, it's stylized yet cute, and the eye humanizes it.

Dynamic music must be interesting since Atonal Dreams uses the concept a lot! I liked how a lot of the exploration music in Unova was kinda dynamic or modal, changing with the seasons, changing if you were moving and some regions have diegetic musicians in them. It also did that gym leader ace thing!

I never liked the friends aspect of Pokémon, ever since gen 1 it's been a thorn in my side. It made more sense when Pokémania was a thing in the West, and to this day you're more likely to get all that wireless stuff to work in Japan where Pokémon fandom is still much denser than here. I also really hate that the idiotic two versions concept was pioneered by Pokémon and they're still getting away with it!!

I'm surprised you find the intro and ending the worst bits, I thought some of the dialogue in the date sequence was more cringy!

I'm always ready for more Clarence Content.
