About Me

Sleepy and occasionally neurotic college student from California. Looking for friends around the world and interesting internet spaces.

Looking for a good book or new art? You will probably love Books as Therapy ∞ LINK ∞ and Art as Therapy ∞ LINK ∞ .

I'm architecting a sci-fi/slice-of-life book for NaNoWriMo right now. It's about an alternative universe, one in which the Internet blossomed a few decades earlier and the Cold War continued into the twenty-first century. A benevolent super-AI, called Mother, is created by American scientists in 2012. She has the wisdom and the understanding to negotiate the end of the Cold War, and her philosophy and inventions usher mankind into a golden age. After having set humanity on a good course for the foreseeable future, she destroys herself and other super-AI. The story takes place two hundred years after these events, and is about four teenage friends living on two different planets.

You commented on my profile, so here I am, returning the favor. Just what's so bad about pineapples anyway? Yeah, I wouldn't eat a lot of it since it sort of stings and stuff, but the first slice is always pretty nice. Is it the bitter taste, the acid, the color?

In all seriousness, good luck with your writing ambitions.

Thanks for the encouragement! I will need a lot of luck if I am to have half-decent execution of the concept XD

It follows easily from my taste preferences that I don't like pineapple. My favorite flavors are salty, spicy, savory, or mild bitterness. I don't like things that are too sweet or creamy, and I cannot stand sour foods and drinks.

I think this is a reaction from childhood: my tongue burns really easily, and I had some nasty incidences with Sour Patch candy and kiwis when I was young.

Speaking of pineapples, did you know that when they were expensive, people used to build pineapple-themed temples in England? ∞ LINK ∞
