It's a shame more people don't appreciate music for its composition. I can understand not wanting to learn terminology to discuss why a specific work is or isn't appealing (from time signatures to keys), but instrumental music is a huge part of how I experience and enjoy games, shows, movies, and VNs. More often than not, I go through my entire work day without listening to a single song with vocals in it, despite listening to music the whole time.

I like Owl Bones the most out of your tin whistle compositions, the long notes followed up by the quick ones makes for a more varied feel than the others. Speaking of the tin whistle, do either of the modes in Memody match up with the available notes on the tin whistle? It would be neat if you could play one of the songs from the game on it, or at least the main melody of one, and you'd only need the light mode notes for the first two songs or the dark mode notes for the third.

I hope the weather cooperates- if not on both days, on the day of the appointment at a bare minimum! Talking with someone could help take some weight off your shoulders. I wouldn't worry too much about not getting any development done this week; you deserve help, and even from a cold-hearted efficiency point of view you'd probably get more work done with a week off, some counselor visits, and three weeks of increased productivity than four weeks of misery.

I know I expressed interest in the FF7R blog on Discord the other day, but now I'm far more interested to hear about your Memody revisit! I made some time this past weekend to play through it myself and really enjoyed it, especially how the difficulty of the game tied in with the difficulty of Memody's mental health issues and the *many* ways the game kept the player from giving up (the progress graph, the "eye" giving you infinite practice on a section you're having trouble with, the lack of a "restart song" option, and the unique fact that you NEED to play every section correctly eventually as opposed to rhythm games where you can normally just not play at all during a hard part and make up for it later). I really enjoyed the writing too, I found all of the characters relatable, especially Remedy and Memody.
